![]() Jameson Grillo and Aaron Bradie were two of the scientists working on the project. They were advertised as homes of the future for ideal living in a post-apocalyptic world. Trust me when I say it is a good thing that the front door always dumps you at the CAMP.The purpose of the Shelters project was to produce unique interior expansions to homes. Basically we took the london underground, got lost, and ended up in that games version of Fallout 1st. No other players, and a default load of collectibles every time because it was an instance entry. The players actually found a route to an unintended instance of the main shared world. Played a game once that was really heavy into that. ![]() Weird unintended things can happen when you start creating relative links inside instanced levels. It's not as simple as you think to "Go through the same door" when the place you came from didn't exist before you got there and stops existing after you left. I've played games before that went heavy into instanced levels. Yeah they missed a trick, people trying to nest these things to make a vault complex is sort of obvious. What they have done is just bad game design and lazy code! If i go into a building through a door, i damn well expect to be able to turn around and end up back where i came from if i go through the same door i just came through.
